Ako Si Kim Sam Soon

Ako Si Kim Sam Soon, an adaptation of My Lovely Kim Sam Soon, stars Ms. Regine Velasquez and Mark Anthony Fernandez as Kim Sam Soon and Cyrus. I have watched the original series and I must admit that I was skeptical of the remake, but after hearing that Regine would play the lead role, I was super excited. It began airing on June 30 on GMA-7. After watching the first week, I was already hooked not just because of Regine, but because the story has different elements from the original. It isn't as predictable and the "kilig" factor of the lead roles is really strong. Go watch it!

because I feel like it damnit.

Why does Amy Sedaris always make me laugh? Because she can. With that face, it's like saying "cheers!" 24/7. Her book "I Like You" is probably one of the funniest books I've read. It brings two of my favorite things together: humor and food. She is a co-author of another book entitled, "Wigfield: The Can Do Town That Just May Not," which I may look into in the not-too-distant future.

apple and the e-mate

It's been a long battle for Apple to get on top of its game. These last 11 years have shown improvement, on Apple's part, in every area of personal computing. About 11 years ago this March, Apple revealed the eMate 300. It was supposed to be a "portable" PDA/Organizer. Definitely not the size of what we call "pocket-friendly" today, but hey, it was a big hit. What came after (and became more widely popular) was the Sony Clie and the Palm with its Mac-friendly Palm OS. They were smaller, faster, and had larger hard drive space. Compare that clunky device and the new Macbook AIR. It has its faults, but it is still super thin. At least in dimensions, Apple is shrinking its devices down to size. What's next Apple? eMate II? The podMac?

nokia has done it again!

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Barcelona, Spain. February 2008. Nokia unveiled four new models this year. The N-Series: N78 and N96 and the lower end models, Nokia 6210 Navigator and Nokia 6220 Classic. The N-Series are more like Smartphones and have many advanced features, but Nokia has upped the low end models. The 6220 for example has a 5 megapixel camera and the Nokia Navigator has a built-in A-GPS Chip for the frequent traveler.
The N96 is the big brother of the N95 model released prior and packs a 16 GB flash drive for music and videos. It also features a 5 megapixel camera and TV-Video Out. Definitely Top-of- the-Line.
The N78 is the newer version of the N73. It has GPS, FM Radio, and 3.2 Megapixel camera. It also sports a WiFi chip for those who are close to WiFi spots to check e-mail, browse the web, or VoIP calls.
It's definitely starting to be a bright year for Nokia.

Hit the Ball Charlie Brown

It's the Christmas Season Charlie Brown!!!

It's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas... I am reminded every time I take the Cable Car to work in the morning looking at the bug Christmas Tree at Union Square. I'm starting to download Christmas songs again and I especially like This Christmas... although I don't intend on watching the Chris Brown movie, I might just for the song... at least a bootleg copy... the kids at school are getting more and more excited for the Holiday and I got some cute answers as to what they wanted for Christmas... This one boy wanted a red and yellow remote controlled car. I thought it was so cute how he said it (he was hunched over the table looking like he was about to die if he didn't get it hehe). Oh well I guess I don't have much to write today... I might take more pictures at Union Square and at Glide and post them up on here.

Saturday Update

I just finished watching a Korean Drama called Coffee Prince Store #1. I LOVED it! It is one of my favorite dramas. It’s different than the others in a lot of ways (especially the fact that there aren't any contracts) and the two lead characters were really good at acting the play. The supporting cast couple was also good. Hopefully they make a part two or something like that

This is the list of Korean Dramas that I have watched in order of how much I liked them:

Autumn In My Heart
Coffee Prince Store #1
My Girl
My Name is Kim Sam Soon
Full House
Prince's First Love

I am starting to watch Goong and it is good so far- hopefully it will be as good as the ratings.

USF Nostalgia

I'm listening to Deep by Binocular right now...

The first time I heard this song, I was a freshmen in College. I was in my dorm room with other people in the Foreword program. A girl, Brittany Tang, put on this song and, at first, I didn't like it at all. Now, four years later, I'm playing this song and it brings back so much nostalgia. Hearing this song reminds me so much of the excitement I felt as a new student in college. Man I miss those days sometimes. New things are always nice... but the "newness" only lasts for so long.
